Unsound judgement in Namibia

The world’s most awful slaughter
is just now taking place
whilst you watch your TV, or,
powder your face
posting news on twitter
or face book, it appears
that the seals are off to heaven
in a great big sea of tears
Bludgeoning these babies
a week old possibly
suckling from their mothers
what immense thuggery
still smelling the salt
wrapped around the breeze
as up come gangs of creeps in blue
swinging clubs with ease
pangs of anguish surface
its done with consummate skill
thousands squashed and battered
and just turned into swill
oblivion for these Cape Fur Seals
lost for evermore
hot bloodied ruffians
creators of much gore
And most of them go to Australia
to a merchant who believes
He has the where for all to trade
and clearly he achieves
all his wishes really
for clearly this tycoon
is taking all the seal pup pelts
and for him its been a boon
and all the animals rights issues
he believes that they
continue to advertise his trade
and this just make his day
Clearly there’s a market
for the growing seal skins and
Namibia is harvesting so many
all were planned
and all go off to this one man
based in Sydney who
clearly makes a fortune selling
coats to souls who do
want them and it does appear
what ever, we now say
there’s clearly women out there
who’d have one everyday
Tourists though must be made aware
Of what Namibia does
on one hands sells the sanctuary
and on the other what a buzz
she sells to slaughter Seals and even
trophy seals she does
no ray of hope there sadly
expectancy seems poor
A sanctuary that’s killing seals
is at odds with natural law
really! it is vital
that lots of seals must die
so the money keeps on rolling in
and their coffers reach the sky
Of course we sign petitions
write poems day and night
write letters to the trader
as day rolls into night
we remind the world on twitter
how terrible this is
we remind the world on face book
injecting as much fizz
into the bloody argument
that fur bearers do die
in a total agonised regimen
cost cutting that’s why.
