Sea Shepherd and my hero Capt Paul Watson

The Sea Shepherd flag
flutters deep in my heart
its skull and cross bones
I can feel
Out on the Oceans
A battles been raging
Which all of us felt, was for real

The Japanese whalers
And Sea Shepherd vessels
Cat and mouse all of the way
Through storms both did ply
where the bold ones do die
Guardians thankfully they
Took on these whalers,
For science
With exploding harpoons
and the rest
Who with sophistication
and so much elation
Locate and then slaughter
with zest.

Murdering what was creation
The great whales
Supreme masters they
huge and impassioned
Who glide massive distances
living on krill
all the day

Air breathing mammals
Their great tails that rise
immense is their following
who can disguise
The joy, that they bring
to all seafarers eyes
A great swimming mountain
of a wondrous size

The whalers though, licensed
to slaughter for Science
and into the great beast they
thrust
this exploding rocket
its made to well, shock it
but fills me with utter disgust
That poor silent creature
whose endearing feature
Is thoughtfulness, caring
and Peace
To be targeted by, a spiv
of a guy
With a weapon thats bound
to release
Such fire power, such evil
intention
to penetrate and then explode
Forcing sinew and muscle
and blood to a tussle
Down an untimely dark road

And the ocean runs red
and the brine will instead
cause much pain where the great
wound is cast
And the great haunting cries
when it does realise
life is now leaving it fast
and the winching begins
a blood rush for their sins
Covered in it, the small men
with their knives and their choppers
of sparkling steel
Ripping into this beast
Oh! its heinous
Ghastly, a terrible steal!

Sea Shepherd’s flag
its whistle’s, its water
its bravery caused old Japan
Land of, rising sun
to see what it had done
and run, rather than, work to plan
To give up this battle of wits
for the dangers were evident
to ship and crew
the relentless, pressure
was coming forever
Believing what they had to do

Imagine it, out on the ice flow
The wind howling like a banshee
Thousands of seal pups
all supping their milk
when a great band of men they can see
With sticks and with cudgels
and faces of devils
hearts harder than any ice block
Canadian cowards with their
breath making shrouds
of mist evilness, who just lock
Successive Parliaments
Its made no difference
The slaughter, the carnage
the doubt
Its yobbish behaviour
with evil intent
its a barbarous terrible rout
There’s no words in anyone’s
language
The culler’s are killers and
should,
be tried and convicted of murder
for that’s what it is and it would
in normal events be so treated
So why do these creeps get free reign
Because there is money, the fur
from these creatures
is passed on and so people gain

Tai ji the cove, and the Dolphins
so much is written about
The evil intent for a species content
on peace,if we shout, we should shout
And we should our loud cries
would be awesome, a cacophony
reaching the stars
The sea becomes crimson
through much mutilation
And humanity with profound scars

The Faroes the murdering people
Who slaughter the Pilot whales, they
cut off their heads and the beaches run red
They scuttle themselves in the bay
Snorting their blood and their mucus
their flesh packed tight, with PCB’s
Mercury,Pesticides all sorts of horrors
Those eating them will get disease
So the carnage that’s it, is still happening
Is a futile encounter to see
Women and children can’t eat the flesh
It will damage their immunity

Earthlings are suffering creatures
and its good that Sea Shepherd is here
With its courage it takes on the vile
legislation, committed to making things clear
Its a perilous journey for activists
America calls them as though
Their terrorists, but this caan’tstop them
And their fan base supporters do grow

All of the creatures, yes all of the earthlings, animals fishes and birds
all of them need our protection
for the food animals there’s no words
Corporate Power is colossal
The Public most don’t have a clue
of the torture the terrible torture
that is done in their name, and my view
Is that vegans are now at the forefront
on the front line and as activists see
what the corporate world is now doing
Creating one commodity

Increasing their margins by torture
stooping to devilish means
employing the low life the gangsters from Hell
And a new race of horror machines

Without the bravery of Captain Paul Watson and his splendid crew many more whales would have perished, the work they do is daring and dangerous and we must appreciate them and support them for their efforts
