and small wedges of cake
sweet and tender coconut
a pleasure to partake
Lanterns on the fence outside
and incense in the air
a little hint of paradise
its so nice to be there
a souk, again a myriad
of healthier foods to buy
and some nice refreshing teas
to drink
on soft furnishings,I
drift away to Fez or Marrakesh now
seemingly
in my minds eye
I am
where sweet aroma’s be
my senses wrapped in
wondrous thoughts

Only Rex Tyler could describe this totally unique vegan/vegetarian addition to Berkhamsted High Street so succinctly. It was a pleasure to experience Dar Papillon on it’s opening afternoon and a joy to see how happy Rex and Khai Eng’s are with their new life and their obvious seal of approval on the transformation of the Cook’s Delight.
Visited today for the first time – have been eagerly watching for an open sign since the word vegan appeared on the signage! What a lovely experience – I enjoyed vegan food and cake and tea, in the very relaxing room upstairs. The staff are all lovely, and it’s so refreshing to relax and trust that what I am eating and drinking is cruelty free. I had two toddlers with me, and still felt very relaxed – that’s saying something!
