A great leap of faith
In the day of the ROO
Seen as a pest
As many now do
Made into leather
For footballs alas!
And murdered to fulfil
the meat eating mass
Man points his fingers
and others agree
The ROO creates damage
and man, now he be
out in the countryside
violating
Everything he gets his hands on
the thing
thats different from man
He rules the world
The ROO is a wild thing
a victim whose hurled
blamed for man’s errors
and living in fear
and dying out sadly
to me that is clear
Who painted the sky?
with such yellows and grey
Not men with their bombs
That blow you away
Who sculptured the trees?
With their gentle format
Not man he was too busy
making kid’s fat
With his sugary drinks
and his corn syrup bars
ruining everything
this side of Mars
He resented the ROOS
and the trees often stood
Where in his mind
his dream
house now could
Stand in a copse
of green grass and flowers
With a fifty foot screen
and a few concrete cows
