The new year brings its share of
revelations
And one such revelation is a brew
Marketed by Pepsi its a soda drink
Its popular, and it ‘s called, Mountain Dew
Doesn’t that sound phenomenal
Get out on the mountains
Glaciers, and Eagles in the sky
Away from all the city smog
Your crampons at the ready
Can’t wait to give that Mountain Dew
a try
The only problem is a guy
bought some of it
Which apparently a mouse had
somehow graced
And there it was submerged
in all that Mountain Dew
Not something really that
improved the taste
Of course pissed off about it
he told Pepsi
Who sent back a letter
he did not expect
The acidity of Mountain Dew
was extremely high
So high infact that the mouse
you could not detect
For if it had been sitting in that liquid
since it had been canned
It would now be
unrecognizable jelly
Its sinews, bones and hair
gone,
There wouldn’t be a mouse, there you could see
One has to ask oneself what
is this all about
A beverage as acidic as this, how
Can it be sold to the public
when it’s anything but healthy
The question on our lips
What happens now
to Pepsi Cola
Or any other soda maker
we
as consumers better realise
if it turns our bones to jelly
You wouldn’t drink it even if its free
Brilliant point as a poem!
Those greedy demons spending great amounts of energy & cash to produce such a harmful CRAP !
Someone has to shake this ppl so hard to wake ’em up!
correct ,these huge corporates making vast fortunes out of turning precious water into a poison, adding all manner of chemicals that do nothing to help our body fight off disease.Governments are no better they allow this crap to be widely sold and take tax on it ,often high fructose corn syrup is included in the package which is another bad substance.and it will not quench a thirst.
Often its packed in an aluminum can which a high acid product risks leaching the aluminum into ones body, aluminum also is generally open cast mining of Bauxite polluting rainforests and other precious areas of our planet.
Thankyou for your lovely comments they are very appreciated I write on average 2/3 poems a day so always something new to see
