Lets remember our feathered friends

As the snow falls white
On my roof tonight
And Jack Frost breathes
a sigh
I pray for the little, birds outside
Out in the dark they lie
Nestled in the bushes
or up there in the eaves
Puffing out their feathers
Its amazing that achieves
a warmth, and understanding
And gets them through the night
Fills them with positivity
To sing in broad daylight
To sit there on my window cill
and chirp a melody
Which lifts this human being
Out of adversity
A few more days to Christmas
Under the bed clothes I
Feel warm protected by 4 walls
If out there with them, I’d die
We must remember all feathered friends
Especially the Turkeys who
Want to carry on their life
And see the new year too.
