“Ceelo” (the puppy who had a rude awakening)

“Ceelo” suffered
from his host’s domestic
he went out of the window
pretty fast
smashed down on the free way
he was wounded
6 months old and already
his way cast

suffering great blood loss
and such evil
just left there to die
a price to pay
that’s far beyond a puppies
expectations
“Ceelo” what a sad soul
who can say

in such pain
bloodied and with multi
lacerations
if he gets to live
it will be plain
he clearly won’t forget
this vile intention
thrown skywards
what was going on in that man’s brain

from a moving car and he
lives to tell the tale
but how now can it be
that humans even contemplate
to jettison a soul
in a fit of pique oh dear!
so, out of control!

and driven off and left to die
not a caring thought
he could have been hit by more cars
and now poor soul he ought
to die but he is fighting
striving to survive
against all odds
those brutal sods
should never have been alive
