“Jamie” the death row dog who made it ( a true story)

In our world, so much harm
is done to animals
all animals
there are few that do escape
beaten up,and otherwise
neglected
burned and hung and poisoned
and even rape

is not off the agenda pf abusers
and every conceivable torture
we inflict
the beauty of a death row dog
is one extreme example
“Jamie” so abused
but someone picked

him out from all the others
and agenda’s
that followed his abuse
when it occurred
left chained out in unbelievable
temperatures
no wonder he ran away
and thus incurred

the attention of the pound
that brought him back again
finally they put him on
death row
with loving care and kindness
and a new mum
he now is a therapy dog
his heart aglow

with sweetmess a majestic hound
in point of fact
his new mum went and got him
from the pound
she knew not to go off to see a breeder
a pet shop, or a mill
all those around

and now we see an owner
with dear “Jamie”
who cares and shares his prayers
as others do
