The environment of water reeds
Miniature jungles where
all manner of wild life
live and play
build their nests and share
a truly great revival
where Reed Warblers
now nest
having flown in here
from Africa
suspended on test
a truly wonderful feathered nest
lined with feathers she
the female
working overtime
a single egg
might be
possibly hatching
what we often see
is a cuckoo chick developing
a feathered adversary
Who will get rid of the mothers Chick
though blind it somehow knows
to Chuck the Warblers egg out
for otherwise it would pose
a problem for the cuckoo.
