Purslane

It grows in cracks out of pavements
An edible, famed for its style
Green succulent leaves
Packed with omega 3 fatty acids
And more than that, it achieves
What is A super food status
Ruled by the moon
And pigs they
And other farmed creatures
It makes them feel good
A E and yes Magnesium too
And just growing freely
And seemingly could

Balance digestion
An antioxidant too
Phosphorus and Manganese
All of this true
A self seeding annual
With sweet yellow flowers
It loves the rain
Giving it special powers

Tis said anti cancer
Growing for free
Goes well in pots
There is no mystery
It’s packed with minerals
Drunk as a tea
Or eaten in salads
As a constancy

In a tea aids hydration
Vitamin c vitamin E
A great all rounder
To enjoy and to be
