The avenue of the volcanoes

This morning there’s a stillness
And the mountains seemingly
At slumber restful to my eyes
As if so dreamingly
They conquer the emotion such devotion
Now I see
The clouds above demanding
A smile or two from me
An eagle flighted close to me
It’s talons hugely they
It’s beady eyes upon me
In it’s wild flung way
I have to say
I am mesmerised
With it’s unbelievable charm
A face to frighten most around
But it will not ever harm
Me I am assured
