Dolgellau

Walking over the bridge

into Dolgellau

it just feels

like entering a story book

somehow it reveals

its history the ancient stones

grey and black they be

and ancientness is all around

time waits for us you  see

Eldon square the centre

dogs bark  cheerily

the chemist  too a time warp

of such tranquility

sitting on the pavement

lunch or afternoon tea

again it felt like a transformation

Back in history.

surrounded by the mountains

all levels of green

fir trees standing proudly

As the rocky ridges lean

listen,       all of a sudden

jets swoop extraordinary

pagans calling  jets ablaze

coming in from Anglesey.
