38 days imagine that

Industrial chicken farms sicken me

Shropshire  one day will

realise it’s madness

so much blood will spill

lots of tiny chickens

given space to be

hatching at an excessive growth

And the vilest purgatory

180,000 innocent birds will be

kept in industrial hatcheries

and it’s done unnaturally

from birth to death

38 days

imagine that will you

the money that they are going to make

it is purest travesty

what will be a welfare disaster

the stench of kingdom come

180,ooo birds the smell alone

will numb

the senses of the people

unnaturally cruel lives

excessive growth and suffering

nobody survives

this onslaught

from the momentLife is given to

baby chicks we hear their tormented screams

oh yes it’s true

industrial sheds, grim awfulness

intensive farming  where

all these innocent life forms

live in such despair

north of blackbrook cottages

and the university

the waterways will suffer
Utter adversity
