Henbane

Henbane thrives on chalk

and sand

and likes the smell of the sea

where Infinity plys

its organic food

on the chalky downs

it can be viewed

its stems can grow

to some three foot high

pale green leaves

what soft hair achieves

Saturn so says Culpeper a

weird and magical soul

at play

it shows abundance  yes from June

its yellow flowers

its purple line

strongly veined

like pendulums

fruits of fire

and dark desire.
