The bush fires raging hot
descend on eucalyptus where
koala and their families
live and eat
how much they share
flames lick every which way
many of them die
burned to a crisp some of them
if only they could fly
slow moving burning red hot
being shot from the sky
this is how Australia
teaches them to die
putting them out of their agony
shooters this is how
they deal with the bush fire injuries
really how we allow
The Aussie shooters
killing upwards of hundreds really and they
truly are a phenomenal souls
in their massively modest way
