Winter in Snowdonia

Fur trees many stanzas
Dark green tall and strong
Clearly loving the mountain air
They just seem to belongTogether
Close and genuine
Friends they seem to be
Taking on the mountain winds
That blow so crazily

A leaden sky
A purple light
Black stone cottages
Just invite
Historic ghosts
Of centuries ago
To come and join the ebb and flow
those dark red bushes
The Flaming fae
Come together and seem to say
A wild rejoicing
Is sent ahead
An exultant message
Spewed instead
Messages to assuage the heart
For winsome eyes
