Who are they
The ones who go to work
Each day
Earn a salary
Pick up their cheque
From 9 till 5
And feel a wreck
Owing money
Baling out
A debt
No can
There’s so much doubt
Working people
Who are they
With little savings
That’s what some say
The Labour Party
Apparently
Know more about
The salary
They just get by
Debt is the thing
Shut eye
Really doesn’t bring
True accord
Into their day
They are the work shy
So they say
Stocks and shares
And landlords pay
PAYE and lots more gelt
That’s the message Starmer spelt
