Monkeys

Snatched by the vile hands of
Paid people who
Flog monkeys to the US
Laboratories
Clue
Ethiopian Airlines
Ship these grisly souls
As freight just like ghouls
They be taking cargo
Shady as hell
These were wild monkeys
A shameful sell

Consigned to torture
Degraded each day
Inglorious traders
How these poor monkeys pay
Torn from the jungle
From their families they be
And shipped to the death camps
Despairingly.

The airline moguls
Carry Their prize
A significant passage
They just don’t realise
How cruel and unfair
It is this sick trade
In experimentation
Upon their heads laid

Shady reputations
Imagine the pain
Families split up
Again and again
Stony indifference
Insensitively
Case loads of monkeys
Just want to be free

American medics
Testing and torture
Horrible experiments
Carried out badly
Intelligent souls
There are few controls
Injuries happening
Sadly.

Ethiopian airlines
Are carrying cargo
Live monkeys fearful
and suffering so
Packed in wooden cases
in cargo holds
Pining and fearful
For really they know

Freedom is over
It’s guaranteed suffering
Wounded and injected
Insufferably
Split from their families
From wildness and caring
A daily dose coming
Unmistakenly.
