A big leap into the unknown

Emperor Penguin chicks leap into the light
Off a fifty foot cliff face
Oh yes in spite
Of great fear for sure
One has to go
He leaps and he splashes
In the ocean below

The great pack look down
He is splashing about
He made the leap
He had no doubt
Now they must follow
Follow his lead
Leap fifty feet
They are bound to succeed

One after the other they all splash down
Some try to work their wings
Did they think they might fly
One after the other splashing about
Confidence building
Without a doubt.

One showed them courage
His certainty
His unshakable belief
To reach the blue sea
A veritable lesson
Obsessed in a way
A great leap of faith
That clearly did pay.
