Slaughterman

A cry of desperation
Beyond the maze of wire
Fences throw the senses
Her heart took on the fire
Of needing to get out of there
For life mean’t so much more
Than waiting for the gangs of death
And the far off shore
The evil of those moments
The stench of death and pain
The finality of permanence
And to never feel again
The fresh air
And the softness of a summers day
And With one vile sweep
The slaughter man
Would take it all away
