The owl asked me to join him

Your window cill feels sacred to you
and that I a wild pigeon should want to share it
seems you consider me as vermin
not fit to fly.
what you fail to see
with your ugly eyes
is that I have the power of flight
drawn in by the owl
I perch on these nails
it is that realisation
that forces me to cry
deep inside myself.
