Nightingale and Red Kite

The Nightingale of Keats desire
What ails thee lad
A heart of fire
The greying sky
The wilder wind
As torrents shift
The hunter sinned
But high encircling
A red kite
It’s beautiful forked tail
Shining bright
A melodious call
Of togetherness
With its fair lady
It does stress
The need for freedom
For bonding power
Of belonging and sharing
In the new now.
