Escapists

They have allocated a day for us
It turns out it’s today
23rd of May it is
That’s what face book say
We all live in shells you know
Some say a carapace
And swim for miles in oceans
Often dolphins chase
Us this way that way every way
And the Indigenous too
Why they want to eat us
For really that is true
We try to be resourceful
Creative every day
We really are escapists in our shell shocked way
