Nigerian hyena men

From nothingness comes
A troupe of street performers
Nomadic people
Trainers let’s say
Of hyenas baboons
Pythons and reptiles
A meagre lifestyle
Drinkers of potency
They
The deepest jungle
The most powerful sedative
Hallucination
They have them each day

Abusing wild souls
Chained many muzzled
Led around the streets
In a Gruesome display
Really Atvariance with life
Itself hostile and unfitting
Portraying strife

Said to be delving
Into supernatural
Drinking the potions
Of wild plant and vine
Charming the cobra’s
Their superiority
Largely tis said
Is something divine

But the animAls surely are
Suffering
Stolen alas from the wild
And captured to be
Performers in what is
A Peculiar circus
To see

It’s random
and much of it chaos
Disharmony
out on the street
A frenzy a ferment
of brimstone and fire
At night
No you would not want to meet.
