Lamentation

The dishonesty and rascality
Of blaming badgers constantly
Knowing really your husbandry
Is anything but done thoughtfully
God made cows great, his
ungulates
God made milk, female traits
Infant nutrition was the reason
but men know best and every season

Rape rack cows it’s artificial
Rape rack bulls yes that’s official
Cows When pregnant they give birth
That’s when Farmers know their worth
Kidnap their calves and hear them scream
Kill those calves the nightmare team
Sell the milk to humans who
Know only pasteurised will do

Animals, face all that stress
Mothers, they need to redress
They lose their baby and know it dies
That’s because they are awfully wise
But it really affects their immunity
Fed crap foods certainly
Milked and milked and stressed all day
Despite their work So little pay

Most by the time they cannot give
In honesty they don’t want to live
Most can’t walk many are lame
Dragged to the truck
Farmers no shame

Name the Badgers one by one
So disingenuous for what they have done
Blaming wildlife and making sure
The government authorises war
With the wildlife who live below
In their setts as well we know
Harming no one but knowing they
Get the blame with naught to say

Tens of thousands have been gunned down
In their own pure blood they drown
Their odour of pure sanctity
Guiltless their integrity
God made them and he put them where
He knew they would be safe
To share
The setts the countryside
The peace
And he gave them a lifetime lease

Overlooking the farmers who
Get subsidies we know it’s true
Someone else always gets the blame
Dairy puts the world to shame
Tens of thousands of parents shot
Families broken up a lot
Suffering and still we see
Lots of cases of TB

Stop this senseless killing please
So many of us on our knees
Begging that you do see sense
and stop these murders their life is tense
Enough for all
and the badgers too
Stop this killing now will you
