Who was your mother?

huge great breasts
engulfed with milk
for little calves to drink
but stolen and reserved for human
beings now who think
their mother stands in some great
concrete stall somewhere and moo’s
and just shits where she stands
somewhere,
well sorry I refuse
to go down that road
my mum she never was a cow
despite what some folk say
and really that is how
I find it hard to comprehend
how human beings do
believe the vile and profit minded
dairies now who screw
who treat the cows with 4 legs
and a swishing tail so bad
beat them brand them rape them
and steal their milk, it’s sad
hormones and injections
chemicals galore
antibiotics coming out their ear oles
and some more
then forced, into some trailer
and sent off to a place
an abattoir who slits her throat
whilst looking in her face
smiling, and shouting expletives
this is what we do
human beings sicken
they fall below the mark
dress themselves in aprons
and practice in the dark
