Sami

Unfathomable to Western eyes
A boundlessness beyond
The landscape where forever
The sky and land our bond
The silence of embracing snow
Tumultuous regard
A life immense and colourful
Though increasingly hard
The reindeer is a godly beast
A frequenter of snow
A constant and continual hope
Incessant in its flow
A permanent and undying need
For the Sami people they
Revere the great four legged beast
Perhaps more so each day

A marriage of the land and sky
Where in we walk
Perchance to fly
A romance In a timely way
A treeless cycle dare we say
A white out, wind embraced we be
The herder his endurance key
It alchemizes the desire
and draws great spirit to their fire.
