Bill and coo somehow doubt it

Morocco’s thought processes
Seem apparently
To be
switched on just by
Killing
The Turtle Doves they see
Frequenting the country
Around June through July
And entertaining hunting groups
To shoot them from the sky

Could this be intellectual
A package if you will
Inanity depravity
Going out to kill
Beautiful wild turtle doves
Whose notion is to fly
In the heat of summer
Not to do this and to die

But according to the calendar
They advertise it saying
Come and get your eye in
Do a stint of slaying
Before the glorious 12
Red grouse all the way
What a grisly prospect
For a topic of the day

But sure enough we see them
Bold hunters to the fore
Able to shoot 50
Birds a day
A bloody war
Thoughtlessness apparently
For some just cannot stop
Shooting even double that
Watching them all drop

Inconsiderate bastards
With nothing better to do
Posting pictures on Instagram
So we can see it’s true
Hundreds of dead bodies
Life cut short let’s say
Just to pull a trigger
And blow dear life away

Not a snowballs chance in hell
That they can ever be
Forgiven for their evil
That all of us can see
This world is clearly hopeless
When groups of men decide
To take it out on the wild life
And then it’s denied

Hunters guns a blazing
Lead shot everywhere
Hunters not an inkling
On added despair
Toxicity they share it
With anything that may
Come along and eat there
And die another day

Get their eye in rapidly
Then come to England they
Do a spot of red grouse shooting
Blow more souls away.
Perhaps in better company
With the sheiks and CEO’s
Who can afford the hunting
Which is why the sport it grows

Turtle doves in England
Few and far between
I pray for heather beetles
So the hunters can be seen
The beaters get them flying
And they are faster then some
But It’s Really wholesale murder
That just truly leaves me feeling numb
