Kayla or Laurel wreath

“Kayla” means a laurel wreath
Thats the name she got
Given by her prisoners
Honour that was shot
Away from her for certain
An ocean going soul
Committed to the watery cell
So that Sea World could control

“KAyla” can mean victory
Dead fish every day
Drugged up to the eyeballs
Expected to display
Leaps and bounds and captivity
Victory for who?
Victory for the corporate
Who knows exactly what to do

So Sea World took an Orca
And for thirty years she slaved
Around and around a watery cell
hour after hour she braved
She sobbed and cried there every day
And nobody did care
They avidly bought their tickets
apparently unaware.
