Beltaine2

May the Beltaine month
When birds when trees and flowers
Come into their own
And show the results of the many hours
Spent growing Out of the compost
And dancing with the light
Each revelation clearly
Of significance so bright

THe magpies love the hawthorn
Their nests will soonest be
The little white flowers that we all love
With such nectar for the bee
Scattered at the roadsides
The wondrous scents so high
stimulating the olfactory nerve
And the insects that fly by

It just feels so summery
The blossoms so lets weave
Leaves into crowns for the green man
Help him to believe
He sybolizes summers green
The Perfection and now I
Receive the blessings avidly
Realizing why

The thorns one must regard them
As tenuously placed
If I make light of their whereabouts
Still i will have faced
Love and all its blessings
And let us all agree
Everything feels beautiful
In the shade of this sweet tree

Enjoy your mead and druid fayre
The maypole and the joy
Hold hands and understand the care
That friendship does employ
Such rapture such abandonment
Halcyon days are here
The cotswold orders feel good factor
Both blessed and sincere.

Will be read out at the beltaine Ritual
At the Rollright stones on Sunday
