Oakland slaughterhouse protest

People thats us human beings
We have to raise our game
We cannot let these slaughterhouses
Carry on, they claim
Little, murdering animals
Many by the day
Its sickening to realise
How the victims pay

Those who eat meat
Apparently
really do not care
Of the degree of cruelty
THats happening everywhere
These are souls with hearts and minds
Who love and want to be
Alive to feel the sunshine
On their backs like you and me

But many are in cages too small
For their need
Many resort to eating each other
They dont have enough feed
They dont get enough water
Some tear out their hair
These are concentration camps
And there is nothing to compare

The slaughter process is violent
The terror they all feel
Many cannot walk many are lame
Their pain is very real
But few around will even think
Of what these souls go through
So carnivores can consume flesh
Which is what they want to do

Animal rights decided to go and see this place
SABA LIVE POULTRY
Which of course was a disgrace
Terror for those victims
Those lambs those bunnies too
And quails and chickens
All molested and in trash cans
All on view

Struggling to breathe some of them
Tangled with the dead
No respect for creation
And really this had led
The activist to go there
200 of them they
Trespassed and were arrested
By the Oakland Police today

Several there were rescued
And were saved how fortunate
23 were arrested
We do not know their fate
Abuse is clearly evident
Unconscienctiousness is too
Clearly they have no morals
Thats what the wicked do
Degeneracy and degradation
It was everywhere
Every sort of transgression
And no one seemed aware

Miscreants thats what they are
To treat these victims who
Are going to their deaths poor things
Its abysmal but its true
Nefarious and scandalous
Bordering on obscene
On innocence personified
Which is,all the more mean
