However minor we think we are we all have a Place of importance in the scheme of things

The wetlands in South EAst Thailand
Are a myriad of calm
With great sxpanse of lotus
Comes to little harm
Beautiful red frilly trumpets
Music to our ears
A wealth of lily pad stepping stones
And a wonderland that appears

Before the eyes of many
Where the purple swamp hens trail
Looking for their favourite food
The golden apple snail
Not indigenous to thailand
But a favourite anyway
And this bird gets ecstatic
If it find a few each day

Its kearned to be sure footed
Its weight can drag it down
The lily pads are fairy fragile
And when they go to town
Striding very confidentally
Some times they fall through
They use theur rather long toes
Like hand thats what they do

Every creature on this earth
Has a place and we
Must understand its critical
We safeguard all to see
The total equilibrium maintained
In every way
For Nature is our Mother
Who has a lot to say

And we must keep our eyes open
And our ears as well
And when walking in the forests
Or on the wetlands we must tell
And Realise the importance in everything
WIll you
Protect and care for every soul
Thats what you have to do
