A sad little story of eli chops who lost his dear mama

Often children lag behind
We see it everywhere
And eli chops was no exception
His poor mum did despair
Whenever she was with him
Wherever they would go
Her inquisitive little soldier boy
Was So much in the flow

Of life, was always looking
At the insects at his feet
The birds who came to play with him
But then he was my treat
I had always wanted
To have a baby boy
And at my age it was such a lift
And He gave me so much joy

The philosophy of existence
Was my very fact of life
The bedrock of believing
Despite the extra strife
One evening after feeding
On bananas in the rough
I crossed onto the railways lines
Feeling i had had enough
We had to find some shelter
And eli chops his way
Was walking in a zig zag
When sadly i did pay

For not keeping my eyes open
For suddenly the train
Was on me in one moment
I experienced the pain
I knew that life was leaving me
And where was eli chops
Still back in the bush he was
Pulling out the stops

Playing with a lizard
Finally he found
Me dying on the raiway track
Lying on the ground
Beaten up and broken
Clearly lost for sure
What would my little soldier boy do
Rapidly he tore

into me
Exclaiming his love
He clearly knew
That I was passing faster
And not knowing what to do
He sat beside me waiting
I saw his doleful eyes
What would now become of him
He was of little size

Luckily for eli chops
He was found right away
The train had sent a message
How I was in their way
So rapidly some people came
From a sanctuary
Close by to the railway
And lead him there to see

I understand there were other victims
In this place and he
Lived a life of riley
For they loved him actually
A life saved meant so much to him
And of course to me
I was sent to the rainbow bridge
But got wind of how he be

He was loved by all of them
My little soldier boy
Who gave his helpers pleasure
And hours and hours of joy
He wouldnt have to face phajan
So for him that would be good
No torture from some wild mahout
Even if they could

My soldier boy would not allow
Anyone to ride
I am sure i will hear news of him
Even from the other side

A little story for Susan
On this bright December day
Better than a christmas card
