Armelle Activist extraordinary

There is a warrior class
That actions deeds and enacts ways
Of placing pressure where it’s needed
That now gets little praise
They are action orientated
Prepared to give their time
To fighting for the voiceless
And for the innocent
A climb
That takes them onto mountain paths
Precariously, to strive
Often taking on a great deal
And some may not survive

For the incline can be massive
And often with no support
And up against the corporations
Who actually manage thought
It’s all about connections
It’s profit based and so
The independent activist
Most do not want to know

But they are there policing
They take on the wrath
They are fighting hourly
They walk a dangerous path
When others are relaxing
The activist will be
Standing in all weathers
Demanding change
They see

Violence against animals
The vile and dark abuse
Sexual gratification
With animals they deduce
The need to call for action
To stop these outlets vile
And all this awful cruelty
That they cannot reconcile

Call them angels call them those concerned
Petition signing souls
Many of them are women
Retaining their nurturing roles
Creating waves of caring
And drawing down the power
Of would be corporate monsters
Who are present in the now

One such soul I know of
Is Armelle Demmerle and she
Takes each battle to the streets
It’s staggering to see
The kind of true blown pressure
This women puts herself through
For the animals for the voiceless ones
Against the clueless who

Tread water their existence is to take
The easy route
To look away to live their life
For them it has to suit
Their honest personalities
It’s objectionable and they
would not be seen dead protesting
Which they view with such dismay

The pioneer the activist the warrior
The King
Believes and achieves and manages
With campaigns that will bring
Whatever to the forefront
They influence and show
People who participate
Can very clearly grow

But not without their problems
Activists are seen as militant
As agitators not part of the machine
That deactivates the public
That dumbs them down to be
Allowing vivisection
And stagnating dormancy

They are watchful they have enterprise
And energy beyond
They take on corporations
It’s maddening their bond
Of friendship and of activeness
They put to heartfelt use
And animals are better off
and rescued from abuse

Taking on the seriousness
And what is the neglect
The horror the inertia
And, if they suspect
Anyone of hunting of poaching
Of torturing then they
are out there with their placards
And they do not go away

They have determination
And Diligence as well
And an indefatigability
Though life may seem like Hell
They remain enthusiastic
Active and awake
Forceful trustful tireless
For the animals sake

Unpaid entirely voluntary
It’s heartfelt all the way
They pay all their expenses
Incurred throughout each day
They work at nights on face book
And other social media too
Saving the lives of animals
Or whatever else they do

ARmelle is one such warrior
Armed with knowledge she
Takes on many arrogant
And ignorant folk who be
On both sides of the equation
She does take them to task
Resilient and unwearied
And what more can one ask

Of any selfless sentient
Studious too she be
Able to speak three languages at least
And write as we
Feel that perseverance
That commitment of the cause
We love her for her energy
For seldom does she pause

To think of her own life choice
She battles all the way
Taking on the quiescence
That really is in play
The inoperative the stationary
The idle and the slow
The impassive and apathetic
And all of this I know

And there are others working
In a similar way who
Don’t appreciate her knowledge
And her commitment let us say
And argue and so demonstrate
That they believe that they
Have better ways of doing things
But at the end of every day

ARmelle for me is special
And respect must be what we
Give to people Of her ilk
Who really are the key
People in the huge great fight
We have on earth today
For the underdogs and the tortured souls
Who we meet along the way

You are special and do not ever forget that
