Forgotten

Why is it we forget you
We plan around you, we
The politicians we are more
Concerned
with mining actually

Setting up the bankers
The corruption through and through
Destruction of a real resource
Thats what we want to do

The tiger is an iconic soul
They are hardy they are strong
But of course they need some habitat
And protection
For otherwise the wrong

We see are roads and infrastructure
And people sharing space
And of course we get such conflict
Which involves the human race

Reality in India sees
Tolerance for they
Appreciate the tiger needs to
Eat along the way

And its the livestock
Which are
eaten
As habitat is withdrawn
If the tiger has no place to go
There will not be many born

And the tigers will withdraw
One has to realise their worth
4 lane highways through the forest
This is not what earth
And naturalness and forestry
Is really all about
But politicians stuck in cities
Clearly they are out

Of the loop, completely
As to wildness they
Sign mining contracts
Here and there
They do this everyday

The tiger really has no chance
Neither has the leopard they
Will be consigned to a sanctuary
As the order of the day

Wild animals apparently
Are not considered, they
Have to be in cages or in confinement
So to say
Where humans are involved
The wild ones just won’t get the nod
They really have been forgotten
Which on the face of it is odd

But then all the wild creatures
All over this world
Are being sacrificed right now
Everyone is hurled

Out of the forests out of the seas
Out of the deserts
Chopping down trees
Sanctioning fracking
Give us more coal
We want our nuclear
Despite the toll

Man has his needs now
The wildness be gone
The iconic animals
The sun had once shone

But now it is money
Its political power
Is fuck the resources
Destruction and how

Knock down the forests
Tear down the trees
Slaughter the wild ones
Bring us to our knees

Concrete just everywhere
High rise the way
No countryside living
No thought of the day

We are killing our oceans
We are killing our fields
We are hunting the animals
Its all about yields

Genetically modified
Thats what we are
Robots in trousers
And cut out the car

The future is unclear
The weather is too
Geo engineering
They know what to do

Spray out their chemicals
If it does appal
Bury us deep
Compost us all

The tigers the foxes
The badgers we all
Will end in the darkness
Under some wall

One great big hole
And chuck us all in
And concrete it over
Thats how they win

What sort of world
Is it going to be
For our children one wonders
No land mass no sea

Just vast city high rises
And prisons and tombs
And transgender families
With electric wombs

Children hooked up to the machinery
They cant even speak
No need to be
Its digitally wifi’d
Blue ray hoo ray
This is the future
Great bouts of dismay

Psychopath city
Digital maze
They exist underground
Where everyone pays

The nuclear power man the fracker
And they
Get water and air
And thats it for the day
