Big cats the vision

So many do gooders
This lot in Mexico
Buying big cat orphans
From circuses who
May have ill treated them
Going to markets
Saving the animals
Lost in the zoo

This starts off lovely
Then we find later
Hoarding is apparent
Enclosures become
Unnaturally full up
With dozens of animals
So far from natural
It does leave me numb

Its called their sanctuary
They saved these animals
Brought some into their homes
Now Where they play
Petted by stars who come to visit
Mexico City but the animals pay

Where do they go from here
Why is this kindly
How is this natural
What do they do
All these souls grow u
wild and in the moment
They will get fierce
That is my view

So where are the one hundred
Acres of land use
And all of these big cats where will they go
The way they are treated played with like pet toys
Changing their feelings we ought to know

Everyone placed here is lost yes forever
No true interaction not any more
Just a fancy zoo where they are crowded together
What of their instincts what will they do

I cant see a future for these cats I am sorry
i don’t believe this is an ethical stance
Maybe we rescue them out of the frying pan
Into the fire we give them that chance

Humans are frightful they humanise animals
Imagining that animals all want to be
Picked up and handled and cuddled and spoken to
These are big wild cats they want to be free
