Samhain

The death of the old year
And the birth of the new
The beginning of
Winter
And bubbling stew

Stock up the squashes
And the pumpkins for they
Make a most wholesome dish
At the end of the day

Ghosties and roamers
That will be about
They may knock on your door
Be in no doubt

Some may come home
Those who recently
Left
Magical moments
To not be bereft

The hoot of an owl
The hearth we all share
A big hearty log
And lots of yule fair

The hearth is a portal
To the other world where
The friendly spirits
May come and may share

Cold frosty winds
Promising snow
Warming one’s legs
By the fire as we know

A mug of warm mead
Or toddy will charm
The nerves and allow us
All to stay calm

Come join us old friends
Come sit by our grate
And lets share a spell
Before its too late

Lets all hold hands
Lets reminisce here
Lets sit in the light of the fire
My sweet dear

Lets burn a candle
And share a good thought
And remember the wise words
Which we have been taught

In the past week the moon
Entered Taurus
Raising our global concerns
A time to be careful
To not rush decisions
A consensus for spiritual returns

Global insanity at an all time high
And warfare breaks out this
The reason why
Venus opposing Chiron brings grief
But thankfully feelings
Of potent relief

For on Friday the sun entered Scorpio
Trine!Neptune in Pisces
And that was a sign
A desire to let go
Euphoria surfaces
But something to know
Of course inevitably
The hazards of coming back down
Could be key

The air all around us
Is charged
Can you feel?
That energy and presence
It is there, for real

Its not imagination
The great veil has thinned
The spirits are there with you
The sacred wind
Touches you
Let it come through you
And play
For they need an expression
And a driver today

Blessed be
