The circus shouldn’t come to any town

Wild animals, and Circus is an anathema
And we
Should by now have progressed far enough
In that we do not want to see
Animals in cages and in the backs of trucks
Carted around the countryside
For all this nonsense sucks!

One upon a time there was no TV
No video’s to watch no internet
But now we do have all these things
Available
So circus is outdated and to let
Wild animals like Elephants and Tigers
Be mistreated as they are very often are
Made to carry out silly tricks
Whatever the stupid trainer picks
For after all the trainer is the star

A majority of MP’S are against this
All parties think its very very cruel
But there are 3 intransigent men
Whose attitude is back from when
And of course in this democracy
They rule
The roost for their behaviour is obnoxious
They think that its a tradition to admire
Transporting the wild animals
they don’t see that as wrong
Regarding these 3 Tories
they just do not belong

Here or any other place for they are
Out of date
the health and safety aspect
Why. Do we have to wait
that those rules protect the animals
If they do then it would be
Right to say to parliament
Wild animals should be free

Circus and the movement of animals

Is positively discriminatory
Thats what has been found
And to carry this on daily
Because of three men who
Feel the need to see wild animals
Do now what they do

Means the laws an arse
And the suffering goes on
And on I suppose and on
And these three MP’s
Will justify their decision
Really out upon

The hustings and the cut and thrust of general debate
And there is nothing anyone now can do
But accept the wild ones fate
The circus clearly corporate
Has found 3 friends and they
Can carry on being obnoxious
Until judgement day
