Delilah of the faeline realms

They were from the Gaelic tinker tribe
But how I came to share
their misty light and shadows
I am still unaware
The place had been idyllic
A remarkably lively stream
Thorny brushes and holly
And wild brambles that did scream
Out a glorious melody
Of swollen berries sweet
Ma Roberts she would make
Her floury crust with Rabbit meat

Those rabbits ran around
The vans it was their where for all
And the young boys used their catapults
They didn’t go to school
They learned their living practically
For tinker life is hard
Collecting always collecting
And stressed and being on guard

Of course they have their horses
And their vans are decked and look
A picture inside but their effect on the countryside
They should be brought to book
The stream became a stagnant bog
The hollows a litter hole
I hurt my paw on a broken door
With no one to console

Not far away were some cottages
Across a fiery road
Lots of great big juggernauts
Carrying their load
I knew it was a dangerous place
But the cottage just beyond
Looked so sublime and peaceful
And I thought to abscond

Leave this bunch of no goods
And try to pick my way
Across the searing clearing
That great noisy highway
And if I made the journey
A moonlit night would be
The safest time for the crossing
Or so it seemed to me

And so my paw was painful
I had a bit of pie
So I wasn’t going to be hungry
And I said a quiet goodbye
And off I leapt to further fields
To the cottages and I
Went around the back
And over the fence did fly

Before me was a faery grove
A totem standing bold
A dragon lying in the grass
And a hare too
I was sold
Lilac foxgloves aromatic herbs
They all were there
I had found my paradise
A place for me to share

I spent the night discovering
The Hawthorn and the Rue
A glorious Apple by the fence
And an aura that was true
Dawns awakening energy
Was enchanting me and I
Went around to the front again
And on the step did lie

I could feel the warmth and kindness
Unlike the life I had known
It was like a great big magnet
Although I was alone
I was born an outside cat
From hunting stock was I
I caught, most of what I ate
Plus Ma Roberts rabbit pie

So I sat there on this old red step
Waiting, cos I knew
anyone with a garden
Like out the back
Would do
Whoever lived here clearly
Was faery loving,for she
Had left gifts for spirit wanderers
Beside her apple tree

I had sat there for an age
When the door was opened, and she
A sable haired young women
Stood there beautifully
She was emanating light
From every cell within her being
And her eyes were bright
And, she was all seeing
She bent down and she smiled at me
And said well who are you
I really didn’t have a name
Flower faeries never do

She saw my poor paw bleeding
And she said to me
Come inside my little one
You should be with me
I have other cats around
But I felt I was here
This was the place where I should live
And never want nor fear

The cottage was so cosy
So warm and just the place
And the garden and the fields beyond
Where I knew I could chase
The mice and voles and frogs about
And catch a bird or two
The scenario was fabulous
I knew now what to do

She clearly was caring
And that face of hers oh dear
I fell in love at first sight
For her eyes were just so clear
She really was an angel
And her clothes were really made
Of the colours of the forest
And of course each sheltered glade

Her hair was long and it smelled so sweet
She was honey in my face
She loved me I could feel that
I was lost without a trace
Ready to be cared for
Loving her repose
And thats how I met my human
And became entwined in prose

She cooked as old Ma Roberts cooked
With aromatic power
Let me tell you my paw healed so fast
And all done with flower power
For me I just so felt at home
Such joyfulness and bliss
Enraptured by her countenance
When she gave me a kiss

Well I never will forget that
I know a feral does
Not get this kind of treatment
Of course I get a buzz
At the crucible of creation
Underneath an Autumn moon
But that kiss it was forever
And if its expiring soon
It really will be the one thing
I take back to the place
Where the stars are actually in the earth
So I can see her face
For she means everything to me
My faery queen she be
To love me and to care for me
All through eternity

i skip and play around all day
Chase sticks out on the lawn
I hunt at night with sheer delight
And dream and sometimes yawn
When the fire is lit
At night we sit
When lady C Does sleep
Tis then we watch the embers dance
And let our silence reap

The enchanting realms of Fae my dears
Beyond the magick space
The circle of commitment
The gloriousness of grace
An awakening of spirit
A pleasurable refrain
The softness of her being
That all of us do gain

There came a time of ruin
When her spirit edged in woe
Was startled by the ugliness
Of one vile so and so
He was a nasty piece of work
We all accepted that
The darkest of dark characters
But we knew where he was at

He hurt her, she despised him
But throughout, all that stuff
She loved us everyone of us
Though clearly it was tough
And then a star drop spirit
Entered her domain
Another little human
Rejoicing once again

But she took a lot of irksomeness
And wickedness for him
So belligerent and loathsome
And so hideously dim
He broke her lithesome spirit
We saw her many tears
We cried inside the lot of us
Across the many years

I am now much older and I have a son
He has, outgrown me completely
Thats what he has done
He’s a good boy in his own way
Although given half the chance
He likes to share my dinner
Thats when I do my dance

I am from the fae its my faeline way
Where the hidden folk so leap
Where nymph’s and undines sing their songs
And where the Main coons reap
Their wholly Turkish flavour
And Their bushy tails for they
Were descended from the queen herself
The white queen far away

And now I feel unsteady
On my feet but magically
I, still can call on, the lovely C
For of course she does love me
I can feel so tenderly
I know how deep and calm
She took me to the hospital
Away from all the harm

She took me in the Dragon soul
In that beautiful pea green box
With a blue towel and of course her love
I will tell you that girl rocks
She rocks my spirit she rocks my soul
She rocks my heart I am out of control
With her around I just know
That even if I have to go

That a part of her will be with me
That first kiss was no mystery
And honestly there is no other
Adopted child with such a mother
