To tell you the truth
To take on the royals
And of course what they say
They will call you outspoken
All along the way

If you stand up, for animal rights
And have an animal then in your sights
Hunting it for, whatever reason
Whether it’s in or out of the season

There is a conflict in your soul
You are not in complete control
Crocodiles have a right to life
Not messed up with our human strife

Zen in the art of being straight
I also don’t think that it is great
For royalty to go on about
Harming animals and leaving doubt

In anybody’s mind out there
You either support or don’t
It’s fair

Make their point sir about you

The paper trail in Oz appears
To talk up your participation fears
Standing over a crocodile
Which is really hard to reconcile

One moment sir you make your stand
And then you show another hand
This isn’t honesty any more
It leaves bad faith of that I am sure

Lighting a beacon for humanity
Caring for animals seeing them through
Not hunting them like you, appear to do

As for the singer what he maintains
Is respect and true caring avoiding the chains
And the terrible aspects of unkindness, we
Show to the animals disrespectfully

The royals should be making it clear far and wide
Hunting and poaching comes from inside
And we should protect other species on earth
And walk a straight road for it has greater worth

It takes some courage to say what he feels
Respect is the outcome and it reveals
regard for whoever we now might say
And On no account should we be making them pay
