Just a lad on his bike
Doing what young boys like
Till he noticed a sight
That hurt him alright
A dog so neglected
So ailing so ill
Just looking up at him
Trying to will
Garret to help him
So easy to do
Because Garret was a lovely boy
Thoughtful through and through
He just left his bike
Picked the dog up for he
Took him in his arms
Home you could see
This was humanity coming to be
Whoever neglected this poor soul
Might free
Himself from the care he had needed to give
But just left him to die
On his own
When we live
with such morals
Our hearts are colder than ice
His dog a loyal friend
Left there wasn’t nice
To die on one’s own is a scary affair
And who ever left him like this
Was unfair
Garret picked him up
And carried home
Got in touch with the vet
That dog couldn’t roam
Far from where it had been left tragically
And despite all the efforts
It died quietly
Imagine the heartless the nasty the sick
Owner who left it to just somehow pick
A spot on the road and dump a sick hound
Hopeful he’d die with no one around
It’s asking so much from a loyal
Canine friend
To be all alone at the bitter end
But fortunately Garret found him and he
Felt the boys blessings
As his soul flew free
