A choke hold

that’s illegal

you must not control

anyone with this hold

so this poor soul

one Eric Garner

was taken down by

one Daniel Pantaleo

and sadly did die

11 times he spoke

“I cannot breathe I”

imagine the panic

we, must ask ourselves why

for selling loose cigarettes

for that’s what he’d done

he was wrestled and choked

and laid bare in the sun

this was just thuggish

the lads there in blue

went over the top

the grand jury too

are clearly unseeing

not hearing, and they

should now be indicted themselves

right away

something went so wrong

to choke him like this

for a small misdemeanour

its taking the piss

its pushing the fear levels

up on the street

this man  called out 11 times

and they just raised the heat

he was taken out

age 43

a very sad day

for what’s turned out to be

a, hornets nest

and a  travesty

the whole matter stinks

a good man is dead

killed by a choke hold

applied to his head

cutting his oxygen

making him cry

out eleven times

the question is why?
