The sins of the fathers

Taiji has undervalued

the infectiousness of those

Dolphins who swim close to them

in the light I do suppose

they are blinded by the vision

and belittle all they see

discovering the obvious

serendipity

their prejudice colossal

misreckoning we see

injustice in the making

zealots now who be

murdering the innocent

capturing them too

enslaving them forever

its what the ignorant do

their obstacle to knowledge

is unknowing and naive

artless to the point of no return

I do believe

the unenlightened nature

of the fishermen we see

unteachable obscurantists

low brow and unscholarly

all they know is killing

torture of a soul

mysteriously intelligent

one they must control

unpredictable behaviour

ignorant as hell

they come from their own darkness

where nothing can ever gel

their sanity is subject

to the questioning of time

a lunacy prevails I think

deranged and about to climb

maddened by the spirit

unhinged in many ways

psychotic proper crackpots

with them all their days

a wickedness apparent

shameful for within

their bodies  disenchanted parasitic skin

distressing at the best of times

a virulence as well

arrant vile behaviour

that must have come from Hell

just a team of fishermen

imperfect afterall

peccant and disordered

unworthy as a rule

to manage living wild souls

calamitous I feel

ruinous and poisonous

and really very real

the karma of the town we know

as Taiji it will be

lost in mists of blood and gore

throughout its history

a whaling town of many deaths

and now the dolphins too

the sins of fathers

have to be the  festering of the few

there must be ruination

a defilement of the whole

the gods are really angry

for every dolphin soul

that is captured raped and murdered

its entrails thus exposed

this terrible imposition

is now diagnosed

for all the world to see it

and bitterly we feel

painful is their ambush

their agony is real

the light the gods will draw

down from the heavens

it will be

brighter than imaginable

right across the sea

there will be no deliverance

for the fishermen of Taiji

who will perish in their broken boats

thats how it has to be
