Shouju the albino Dolphin

What happened just the other day

has woken up the world

those of us who know Taiji

and the maelstrom there that’s

 hurled

hearing  the clanging pipe brigade

frighten the pods and then

drive us screaming into the  cove

when the whole wide  world   saw when

I surfaced ,  the albino

with my mother by my side

as white as driven snow  I was

wanting to confide

in her,

but the ghastly people

just stole me from her

they murdered my  sweet mother

that’s what did occur

she had been so loving

but they  were none of that

cruel and  so embittered

they didn’t even bat

an eyelid

as they stole me

I had potential

that was me

taken I was taken

I lost my liberty

I also lost my mother

she just sank below

and didn’t come back up for air

she preferred to go

all that blood and gore about

even the bubbles burst

many of our friends were slaughtered

clearly all were cursed

the tragedy of man unkind whose

hearts are   empty, and

who only think of money

they do not understand

anybody else exists

and I now wait to see

who will give the most

and show me off

yes we shall see

in which country

for hours I will be gawped

at

that’s to be my life

in some small aquarium

with the added strife

of knowing that my mother

sacrificed her soul

all my family were chopped

up

by those out of control

almost all the children

died too on that day

I may sacrifice myself too

and that’s, all I will say

\

and you then murdered the mother

and  sort of in your stride

captured me

a baby

and took me to Taiji

to be sold off

to the aquarium trade

for big bucks obviously

insignificant senseless fools

insanely killed my mum

we had been so playful up to then

and you are some

of the vilest
