Kynna the she wolf

she never had a chance in fact
for hunters are a bunch
of highly mobile assassins
with such a powerful punch
this she wolf wore a collar
and so she could be tracked
but she left Norway walking
and she did react
well to all the attention
her experience drove her far
in many way this wondrous soul
really was a star
she has the verve to wander
she had the strength to try
but it was when she got to Sweden
that she had to die
surrounded by 20 hunters
with dogs
what chance was there
shot to death
denied all breath
and plunged into despair
the end for her came quickly
she was starving she was weak
a goddess of the wolf world
formerly a streak
of light across the forest
she ran and dived and climbed
she was something very special
she was always primed
to get out of situations
and to hide she knew to where
but on that day they got her
it just was not fair

what odds and their dogs there too
shot down in a pool of blood
there was nothing she could do
