Circus

I make no excuses for
continually trying
to make people see
what some are denying
the circus is no place
for your children, they
would be far better off
in the countryside
way
out of the reach
of the mentality
of the sick and the cruel
it is no fallacy
there in the midst
the animal cages
wild ones are in them
really for ages
and sadly are trained
to do tricks for you all
where torture is rife
and only a fool
might not realise
elephants, tigers and Lions
are ready to entertain
can’t see the signs
of cruelty,clearly
that most understand
that is happening really
right across the land

they are beaten and sworn at
and cut down to size
starved they go bonkers
cant you realise
wild souls who wander
the plains far away
can’t be locked inside cages
and left to pay

but they are don’t you see it
when you go along
your ticket money
it is all wrong
the tortuous way that
the animals live
there lies the reason that
you must not give

support to these places
boycott them, for they
are not helping animals
its just a way
of extending such cruelty
that must not be
ask Peta they will tell you
what they have told me
