Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital

In what is lovely countryside
In Haddenham in Bucks
The Tiddywinkles Wildlife
Hospital Trust
it kind of tucks
itself just to the right
of Aston Road
so picturesqe
its aura you can feel its worth
for there behind the desk
the receptionist is lovely
calm and quietly, she
lifts my little rescue box
and calls for a soul to see
and inside there’s a robin
a yearling we can say
a lovely soft red breast
but injured tragically today
but this bold soul descended
from a nest perhaps to be
at the home of Claudia
my lovely friend and we
she looked after for the first part
loving him comforting so
and I took him to hospital
all the way did go
its funny it lies off a peaceful
road and one just knows
that once the Robin got there
somehow well its just flows
the energy it was saving
it kind of perked up and
flapped its wings
like proud earthlings do
and it just shows
me that vital spirit
that wild souls have and hold
they rest and breathe
and realise somehow they seem sold
and they are clearly evident
for Tiggywinkles I
felt its caring vista
which I am sure is why
its been there all these many years
and flourishes abroad
this tiny Robin was obviously loved
and treated with accord
how fortunate the robin
knew and came to No 2
and Claudia found it shivering
and knew just what to do
pack it in my ambulance
and send him on his way
to Aston Road in Haddenham
on this his lucky day
