Dog fighting

I can’t abide the training
of one species on another
one breed upon another
for me there is no other
excuse that’s ever viable
to set dogs on each other
it wouldn’t be a natural way
a father fighting a brother

and doing it for gaming purposes
I really can’t abide
its cruel
its wrong
and it doesn’t belong
we trylu have to hide
their faces
from the limelight
those who dare to be
setting their dogs
against another
which they do
tragically

when both will be so injured
and some dogs stolen too
other people’s pet dogs
torn apart a few
champions, may just possibly
emerge in the affray
and win until another
bites their head off
yea someday

it will and in this day and age
it should be outlawed
everywhere closed down
and these people put away
a minimum of 10 years
make the sentence stick
cos these trainers know their stuff
and they never
miss a trick

so make them realise
this crime is awful and abroad
the people do not want it
no one can afford
the evil that abounds here
it just must just now end
it came from the dark ages
and all of us must send
