Tourette’s you know that syndrome
That feels as though it takes
You over not in clover
Reality it breaks
Noises come and go for you
The inquisitive are drawn
It upsets people peace and quiet
And wondering why we were born
To be all loud and shouty
Lacking love and care
Shouting in the mirror
About those those of us who swear
“I swear”
Kirk Jones the Director
The perspective was profound
The idiocy forgotten
The poignancy around
Families stressed, and so concerned
About how it all plays out
John Davidson and his MBE
In Galashiels no doubt
Try to watch this movie
Think back on the day
You walked into the cinema
And it blew you away
You felt the tears of yesteryear
Rolling down each cheek
It brought those years of melancholy
Back
You were never a freak
You cried a lot
You were on your own
Poetry was your thing
It’s what kept you together
Kind of helped you bring
Some sanity back in your life
Though around you people felt
As bonkers as they thought you were
And as your cards were dealt
People became more quizzical
More understanding they
Heard shouting from the mirror
And began to remember the day
They understood what was happening
But why nobody knew
That perhaps it was vaccinations
Doing it to you
