Imbolc a time when the new born lambs
Eyes
On opening see the wintry skies
Their mothers in milk
A first creamy meal
The first festival day
Introspection and renewal
Is how we reveal
In the earth we see snowdrops
Crocus and more
The tall daffodils
Golden petals the raw
Winds and the hail
And perhaps even snow
A seasonal festival sabatts aglow
With a purposeful energy
Brighid we know
The goddess looks favourably
On the livestock below
Half way between Winter Solstice
And Spring
Where Introspection and Renewal
Does so surely bring
